“Nigeria’s strategic position and sustained security efforts contribute significantly to regional stability and peace,” the Ambassador said, while expressing Poland’s interest in exploring practical avenues for enhanced bilateral defence cooperation in support of Nigeria’s security priorities.
In response, Air Marshal Aneke emphasised the importance of strategic international partnerships in addressing modern and asymmetric security threats. He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to leveraging cooperation with friendly nations to boost operational effectiveness, capacity building, and information sharing in pursuit of national security objectives.
The CAS also reiterated the Service’s openness to mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at strengthening counter-insurgency capabilities and contributing to both regional and global security.
A statement issued by the NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said discussions during the visit focused on expanding bilateral defence cooperation, with particular attention to areas that support and enhance the Nigerian Air Force’s ongoing counter-insurgency operations nationwide.

According to Ejodame, the engagement underscored the value of defence diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding, deepening bilateral relations, and improving operational collaboration between Nigeria and Poland.
“It also reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to professionalism, partnership, and sustained engagement in support of peace, stability, and security within Nigeria and the wider region,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Air Force has invited Nigerian youths to showcase their creativity, sharpen their intellectual capacity, and contribute innovative ideas capable of shaping the future of air operations through the Chief of the Air Staff Literary Competition.
