Police PRO Muyiwa Adejobi Explains Difference Between Court Bail And Administrative Bail
Eko Hot Blog reports that the force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Muyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday explained the difference between court bail and administrative bail.
Many Nigerians always confuse the two because it is always written at police stations that “Bail is Free”, making people to always complain whenever they are asked to pay for bail at the stations.

However, writing on the issue on his Twitter handle on Sunday, Adejobi disclosed that court bail comes with some monetary conditions which must be met before a person facing charges is allowed to leave custody.
What it means is that the court can grant someone N50,000 bail which must be paid and if the person is unable to pay the bail, he or she will be remanded in police or prison custody until such bail is paid.
He however added that the other one is the administrative bail which is given by the police or any law enforcement agencies, saying such type of bail is free.
