During his stay, the President is expected to inaugurate several major projects in Ogun State, including the cargo airport in Iperu.

Before arriving in Lagos, Tinubu made a brief stop in Plateau State following recent deadly attacks in Jos.
He expressed sympathy to victims and their families, assuring residents that the Federal Government would strengthen security measures to prevent further violence.
As part of this effort, Tinubu announced plans to deploy over 5,000 artificial intelligence-powered surveillance cameras to support law enforcement operations.
The initiative will begin in Jos and later extend across Plateau State, building on similar systems already in use in Lagos and Enugu.
The President condemned the March 29 attack in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North, which resulted in multiple deaths, and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.
He directed top security officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector General of Police, to track down and prosecute the perpetrators.

He also tasked Bosun Tijjani, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, with overseeing the immediate rollout of the surveillance project in collaboration with state authorities and security agencies.
In addition, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Bernard Doro, has been instructed to compile data on affected victims to ensure fair distribution of relief support.
Addressing community leaders and stakeholders, Tinubu stressed the importance of learning from past incidents and taking proactive steps to ensure lasting peace.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and fostering stability, stating that his goal is to build a secure environment rather than continually console victims of violence.
