Speaking during the handover ceremony in Abuja, the Director of Information and Communication Technology at the Federal Ministry of Education, Zainab Abukur, who represented the Minister of Education, described the deployment as a significant milestone in the implementation of the administration’s education reforms.
Abukur explained that the dashboard would provide education managers with real-time access to school performance and operational data through NEDI, enabling them to make informed decisions without relying heavily on routine physical inspections.
According to her, the platform will improve efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness within the education system while ensuring that policy decisions are backed by accurate and up-to-date information.
She noted that the adoption of digital technology aligns with the Federal Government’s determination to build a more accountable and results-oriented education sector focused on improved learning outcomes.
Receiving the dashboard on behalf of the Board, Acting Chairman of FCT UBEB, Florence Wenegeme, described the intervention as timely and strategic.

She said the platform would strengthen internal management processes, improve oversight of schools across the Federal Capital Territory, and enhance service delivery within the basic education system.
Wenegeme also commended the Federal Government for sustaining reforms aimed at modernising education administration across the country.
Following the presentation, a technical team demonstrated the dashboard’s capabilities, showcasing its monitoring tools and features designed to facilitate seamless supervision and effective data management.
The Ministry of Education reiterated that the initiative reflects the practical implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, assuring Nigerians of its commitment to expanding digital innovation and delivering measurable improvements in access, quality, and efficiency across the education sector.
