Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully averted a potential explosion after discovering and safely detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) in Gajiram town, along the Maiduguri axis of Borno State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the device was reportedly found near the town’s exit gate during a routine patrol by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Route Clearance team attached to a Forward Operating Base in the area.

Security sources said the team quickly secured the location upon detecting the explosive, preventing any risk to residents and road users. The IED was later detonated in a controlled operation, with no casualties or damage recorded.
Following the operation, troops carried out additional sweeps and surveillance around the area to ensure there were no further threats.

Authorities noted that while the situation in Gajiram remains calm, it is still unpredictable, prompting increased patrols and monitoring along key routes.
