He emphasized that the state would not fall back into the control of insurgents and pledged that the government would cover medical expenses for those hospitalized, as well as provide assistance to families who lost loved ones.

Zulum also revealed that both the state and federal authorities are stepping up efforts to secure lasting peace.
According to him, significant funding has been released, particularly to the Nigerian military and the Multinational Joint Task Force, ro intensify operations targeting insurgent strongholds.
He expressed appreciation to the federal leadership and security agencies for their continued support.
The governor’s visit followed a series of coordinated bombings on Monday evening, shortly after residents broke their fast during Ramadan.
The attacks struck multiple locations across Maiduguri, including the Monday Market near El-Kanemi Roundabout, the Post Office flyover, and the entrance of the teaching hospital. There were also reports of another blast in the Kaleri area.
The explosions, suspected to have been carried out by suicide attackers using improvised explosive devices, resulted in at least 23 deaths and left over 100 people injured.
Several victims sustained critical wounds, leading to urgent appeals for blood donations in hospitals treating the injured.

Bola Tinubu condemned the incident, describing it as a brutal act of terrorism. He directed security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri to oversee a coordinated response.
Earlier, Governor Zulum had urged residents to stay calm but alert, especially in crowded places and places of worship.
He suggested that the renewed violence might be linked to ongoing military offensives against insurgents in the Sambisa Forest.
In response to the attacks, security personnel, including bomb disposal experts, have been deployed to sweep affected areas and prevent further incidents.
Authorities have also strengthened surveillance and set up additional checkpoints across the city to enhance public safety.
