EKO HOT BLOG reports that the South-West Movement for Osinbajo (SOWEMOVE) has urged Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to abandon his bid for the presidency in 2023 and instead support Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for the highly desired job.

While presenting the group’s position to the Director of Operations of The Progressive Project (TPP), Alhaji Aliyu Usman Aliyu, in Abuja, Abioye Akerele, the National Co-ordinator of SOWEMOVE, warned that if Osinbajo is not considered to occupy the exalted seat, the Presidency may elude the South-West geo-political zone in 2023.
In another development, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, former Minister of Works and National Chairman of the South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) 2023, said the organization has begun active voter mobilization across Ekiti State to save the APC from an impending defeat in the governorship race in 2022.
Adeyeye, who described SWAGA as the party’s only saving grace, spoke to APC members in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend at the culmination of the group’s mobilization efforts across the state’s 16 local councils.

He expressed regret that the APC in Ekiti had lost popularity despite being the ruling party owing to alleged politics of hatred and alienation being played by those loyal to the governor.
