The family of Erelu Aminat Titilola Alake Folashade Dosunmu (née Martins) has announced arrangement for her burial in Lagos, following her sudden passing on Friday, December 12, 2025.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the late Dosunmu, wife of Prince (Aare) Mustapha Adewale Dosunmu, President of Eko Club of Pennsylvania, was a revered member of the Eko Club International community, an active participant in the Women’s Forum, and a Grand Patroness of Eko Club chapters in Austin and San Antonio.

In a statement released by her husband on Wednesday, the family said the burial prayer and interment will take place at Vaults and Gardens, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Close, off Federal Secretariat Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

“It is with deep sorrow, yet with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, that we announce the passing of Erelu Aminat Titilola Dosunmu.
“She was a devoted wife, a loving and nurturing mother, a cherished sister, and a woman of dignity and grace. Throughout her life, she exemplified compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Her presence was a source of strength, warmth, and wisdom to all who knew her.”
A special Third Day Prayer will also be held at the deceased’s residence — No. 4, Prince Adewale Dosunmu Street, Isheri Osun, Near Ijegun, Lagos State. By Almaroof Bus Stop, Off Muhammed Lawal Str — on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 10:30.

She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and numerous friends whose lives she profoundly touched.
Her sudden death shocked the Eko Club family across continents. Eko Club International, through its Public Relations Officer Tunde Phillips, described the loss as “shocking and untimely,” while Eko Club London, led by General Secretary Moji Bishi, said, “The entire members of Eko Club London extend their deepest condolences to the family of Olori Titilola Dosunmu. May God grant her eternal rest and grant all she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss. Aljannah Firdaus.”
Tributes also poured in from leaders and members of the Eko Club network. Hon. Yetunde Konrad, on behalf of President Dr. Lola Ogbara-Alogba, described her as “more than a friend — a confidant, a gentle voice of reason, and a source of warmth and grace. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.”
Former ECI President, Otunba T.J. Abass, and ECI President Emeritus, OJ Lawal, also remembered Erelu Dosunmu fondly, hailing her dignity, compassion, and strength of character.
The decision to hold the burial in Lagos underscores her enduring connection to Nigeria, her roots, and her leadership within the Eko Club network. Members of the organization and extended family from across Nigeria, the United States, and Europe are expected to gather to pay their respects and celebrate a life marked by devotion, service, and grace.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the colour code for ECI members at the burial ceremony on January 16 will be WHITE on WHITE. The club members are expected to don purple attires for the special Third Day Prayer on January 18.
