300 Cheques Distributed Under Sanwo-Olu Listen Financial Assistance Programme

In keeping with its commitment to improving the lives of its residents, the Lagos State Government has distributed 300 cheques to another set of beneficiaries of the Sanwo-Olu Listen Financial Assistance Programme.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Tajudeen, highlighted that this initiative is a testament to the government’s dedication to bringing joy to the people of Lagos and ensuring an inclusive governance approach where no one is left behind.

Reaffirming the Lagos State Government’s dedication to addressing the financial challenges faced by its residents, Dr. Afolabi emphasized that the recent distribution is merely the beginning, with more cheques set to be presented in the coming months.
He added that the government is unwavering in its efforts to ensure that every resident of Lagos State benefits from the Sanwo-Olu Listen Financial Assistance programme.
In his words, “The initiative is designed to cater for a variety of needs, including support for small businesses, education, housing, and health challenges.
The health-related requests, in particular, received significant attention. We ensured that all supporting documentation from reputable hospitals is attached to the application, and once we can verify such claims, we try as much as possible to provide the best possible support.”
Dr. Afolabi Tajudeen, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, clarified the process for accessing financial assistance under the Sanwo-Olu Listen Financial Assistance Programme.
Applicants are required to submit a letter of request, clearly stating their needs and specifying the amount of financial support required.
The application letter must also include a photocopy of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) card as identification, a National Identity Number (NIN), a passport photograph, and contact details for the applicant after undergoing a thorough selection process.
Expressing gratitude towards Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for their steadfast support, Dr. Afolabi encouraged residents of Lagos who have not yet benefited from the program to take advantage of the initiative.
He emphasized the administration’s dedication to alleviating economic hardships and creating an environment where every citizen has the chance to succeed and thrive.
