- The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday, March 27, 2026, that it is “duty-bound” to target U.S. forces across the Middle East.
- Iran has urged civilians to immediately vacate any areas where American troops are stationed to avoid being caught in the crossfire of potential confrontations.
- In response, the U.S. government has instructed its citizens in the region to stockpile food, water, and medicine, and to prepare for “shelter-in-place” conditions.
Tensions in the Middle East reached a critical flashpoint on Friday as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a direct warning to civilians to stay away from United States military personnel.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement carried by the Tasnim news agency, the IRGC declared its intention to strike American troops “wherever we find them,” characterizing the move as a strategic necessity.

The military wing strongly recommended that residents in proximity to U.S. bases or deployments take immediate precautionary measures to ensure their safety.
This escalation follows a startling appeal by Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
On Thursday, Zolfaghari claimed that American commanders and soldiers had abandoned their primary bases following recent hostilities and were now hiding in undisclosed locations.
He urged people across the region to report these “hiding places” to Iranian forces, further intensifying the atmosphere of psychological and unconventional warfare.
The United States government has responded by issuing an urgent security alert to its citizens currently in Iran and the broader region.
The advisory warns that departure options, including commercial flights may quickly become unavailable.

American nationals are being told to prepare for emergency conditions by maintaining a supply of essential items, including food, water, and necessary medications.
“We are monitoring the situation closely,” the U.S. statement read, emphasizing that citizens should be ready to seek refuge in secure locations within their residences.
The rhetoric from Tehran, combined with the U.S. directive to stockpile supplies, suggests that both nations are bracing for a significant military engagement.
As the IRGC ramps up its search for “dispersed” U.S. forces and the Pentagon reinforces its defensive posture, the civilian population across the Middle East remains on high alert, caught between the threat of targeted strikes and the reality of a rapidly deteriorating security environment.
