EKO HOT BLOG reports that Dare stated that major policies implemented by the administration, including the removal of petrol subsidy and foreign exchange reforms, were aimed at restoring fiscal stability, rebuilding investor confidence, and repositioning the country for sustainable economic growth.
The presidential aide spoke on Saturday during a Northern Stakeholders Town Hall engagement held in Kaduna State.
The event was organised by supporters of President Tinubu under the platform of the Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement, with several participants expressing support for the President’s possible re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Dare, although many Nigerians have experienced hardship following the implementation of some of the reforms, the policies were introduced to address long-standing structural problems within the economy.
He said the government could no longer sustain policies that placed heavy pressure on public finances without delivering long-term benefits to citizens.
The presidential aide described the reforms as “difficult but necessary,” adding that early signs of positive outcomes were already becoming visible in key sectors of the economy.
Dare explained that the fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms formed part of a broader strategy to place Nigeria on a stronger economic foundation.
He added that the administration remained committed to policies capable of improving the country’s fiscal position and creating conditions for long-term national development.
The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Adekanbi, said the town hall meeting was organised to improve public understanding of government policies and allow citizens to engage directly with policymakers.
Adekanbi noted that direct engagement remained important, particularly at a period when major reforms were being implemented across different sectors.
Other speakers at the event also reviewed the Tinubu administration’s economic policies and governance style.
Among them was Solomon Gushibet, who examined the long-term economic implications of the Federal Government’s reforms.
Representing Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, said the removal of petrol subsidy had improved the financial capacity of states to pursue development projects.

Participants at the event also called for continuity in government policies, arguing that sustained reforms were necessary for long-term economic stability.
