The Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF) has continued its strategic stakeholder consultations across Epe Division ahead of its formal inauguration and the 2027 general elections, with the movement receiving strong assurances of support and backing from prominent political stakeholders in Ibeju-Lekki.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the engagement, held on Friday, August 13, 2026, at the APC Party Secretariat, PBAT/KOH Mobilisation Filling Station, Oribanwa, Ibeju-Lekki, brought together the THEDSF leadership and key political stakeholders for discussions on youth participation, grassroots mobilisation, political awareness and strategies for strengthening support across Epe Division.
The delegation was led by the Director-General of THEDSF, Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo (G.M.O.), who opened the engagement by presenting the vision, significance and objectives of the movement.
Giwa explained that THEDSF was established as a platform to harness the energy and potential of youths across Epe Division while promoting political awareness, voter education, civic responsibility and peaceful participation in the democratic process.
He said, “THEDSF is a movement established to bring progressive-minded youths and stakeholders together under one platform. We want our young people to understand that they are not merely observers in the political process; they have a responsibility to participate and contribute to shaping the future of their communities.”
The Director-General further explained that the group was deliberately embarking on consultations with experienced political leaders and stakeholders before its formal inauguration to ensure that its activities are properly structured and guided.
According to him, “We are consulting because we believe that experience matters. We want to listen to our leaders, receive their guidance and build a structure that can effectively reach every community, ward and polling unit across Epe Division.”
He added that THEDSF would focus on sustained grassroots engagement, voter sensitisation and youth mobilisation while supporting the political aspirations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC Lagos State governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 elections.
Responding to the presentation, His Excellency, Alhaji Bode Oyedele, welcomed the THEDSF delegation and commended the group for taking the initiative to consult with established political stakeholders before commencing its full-scale activities.
Bode acknowledged the strategic importance of youth mobilisation, particularly in an election cycle where grassroots organisation and effective communication remain critical to achieving electoral objectives.
He encouraged the THEDSF leadership to remain united, disciplined and focused, stressing that a successful political movement must be built on organisation, commitment and respect for stakeholders.
He said, “I am pleased with the initiative you have taken to consult and engage stakeholders. You have started in the right direction, and I encourage you to remain focused, united and disciplined as you build this structure.”
Bode further assured the delegation of his support and backing, noting that he would continue to encourage initiatives capable of strengthening political participation and grassroots mobilisation within the division.
He also urged the group to ensure that its activities remain peaceful and focused on engaging the people positively.
Also present at the engagement was Hon. Abdul Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo, Special Adviser to the Governor, who participated actively in the discussions and expressed support for the objectives of THEDSF.
Ogungbo emphasised that the future of political participation depends significantly on the ability of young people to organise themselves, understand the political process and participate responsibly.
He described the emergence of youth-driven platforms such as THEDSF as an opportunity to channel the energy of young people towards constructive political engagement.
He said, “The youths are a very important part of our political structure. When young people are organised, informed and properly guided, they can make a significant difference in any political process.”
Ogungbo encouraged the THEDSF leadership to build an inclusive structure that accommodates youths across different communities and backgrounds while maintaining discipline and unity.
He further advised the group to take its mobilisation to the grassroots and maintain regular engagement with residents, noting that effective political support must be built through genuine relationships with the people.
“Do not limit your activities to meetings alone. Go to the people, engage them, listen to them and explain the importance of their participation. That is how a strong grassroots structure is built,” he advised.
The Special Adviser also pledged his support and backing for THEDSF, assuring the delegation that he would continue to encourage the group as it develops its structures and carries out its planned activities.
A former Vice Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government was also present at the meeting, adding his experience to the discussions on grassroots politics and community mobilisation.
The assurances received from the stakeholders provided a significant boost to the THEDSF delegation, as the group continues its consultation tour across Epe Division.
The Director-General expressed appreciation to Alhaji Bode Oyedele , Hon. Abdul Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo and other stakeholders for their warm reception, constructive contributions and commitment to supporting the movement.
Giwa said, “We are grateful for the confidence and support expressed today. We will take the advice seriously and continue to work with our stakeholders as we build a movement that is organised, peaceful and committed to the political development of Epe Division.”
The engagement forms part of THEDSF’s wider stakeholder consultation programme ahead of its formal inauguration, with the group expected to continue its engagements with political leaders, traditional institutions, community leaders, youth organisations and other stakeholders across the division.
The movement reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots mobilisation, voter education, youth participation, peaceful political engagement and strategic stakeholder collaboration as it prepares for its activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
