The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (JP), Telade IV, has convened an emergency security stakeholders’ meeting aimed at addressing emerging security concerns across communities within Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a letter dated June 3, 2026, the revered monarch expressed concern over recent security developments and shifting security trends being witnessed across communities within Eredo and other parts of the country.
According to the royal father, ensuring the safety of residents requires a coordinated approach involving traditional rulers, government officials, security agencies, community leaders, youth representatives, and other critical stakeholders.
The emergency meeting is scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Alara’s Palace in Ilara-Epe.
Oba Ogunsanwo noted that the gathering would provide an opportunity for stakeholders to collectively assess existing security challenges, exchange ideas, and develop practical solutions aimed at strengthening peace and security across the LCDA.
“Security is a collective responsibility, and we can only build a safer Eredo if we work together,” the monarch stated in the invitation.
Expected at the meeting are the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, traditional rulers from various kingdoms within Eredo, representatives of security agencies including the DSS, Nigeria Police Force, NSCDC, Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), OPC, Hunters Association of Nigeria, community leaders, youth leaders, transport unions, market leaders, school administrators, military representatives, and other key stakeholders.
Among the royal fathers expected at the meeting are the Aladeshoyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja; the Alade Uraka of Poka Kingdom, Oba Ayodele Kolawole Aliyu; the Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom, Oba Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa; the Aladegbajo of Odogbawojo Kingdom, Oba Maruffdeen Adelani Adeniyi; and the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom, Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, among others.
The meeting is expected to produce actionable strategies and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in sustaining peace, preventing crime, and ensuring the continued safety of residents across Eredo LCDA.
