- APC Releases 2027 Primary Election Timetable
- Presidential primary fixed for May 23, 2026 at ₦100 million

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, adjusting key dates for its primaries and related party processes.
The schedule was contained in a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the revised timetable, the presidential primary will hold on Saturday, May 23, 2026, while governorship primaries are scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Primaries for State Houses of Assembly will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the Senate on Monday, May 18, 2026, and the House of Representatives on Friday, May 15, 2026.
The revision also covers changes to screening exercises, appeal processes and primary election timelines, alongside directives on the sale of nomination forms and approved party bank accounts for payments.
The APC stated that female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities will be required to pay only for the expression of interest form and 50 percent of the prescribed nomination fees for their respective positions.
The party maintained the cost of its nomination forms, with the presidential ticket pegged at ₦100 million and governorship at ₦50 million.
Aspirants for the Senate will pay ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, while State House of Assembly candidates will pay ₦6 million.
The party said the revised timetable is aimed at ensuring a smoother and more organised internal electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
