The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has suspended former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, due to alleged anti-party activities.
In a resolution submitted to the APC National Secretariat and addressed to National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, the Osun APC accused Aregbesola, who previously served as the state’s governor, of creating divisions within the party by forming a splinter faction.

This alleged action is viewed as detrimental to the party’s cohesion and unity, particularly during a crucial period in Osun politics.
The APC in Osun asserts that Aregbesola’s actions have exacerbated internal divisions, with party leaders claiming that his influence over certain groups has led to significant discord.
This suspension represents a decisive step by the state chapter of the party to address perceived disloyalty and realign its leadership in preparation for upcoming elections. Further responses from Aregbesola’s camp are anticipated as the situation develops.
