In a statement, Adediran said his decision was influenced by the party’s direction and the need to maintain unity within its ranks.

He stressed that stepping aside was a deliberate choice rooted in discipline and respect for party structure, not a reflection of inability.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and to President Bola Tinubu, describing the President’s leadership as vital to the party’s stability and progress.
Adediran also disclosed that the position was finalised during a meeting in Abuja, where he aligned himself with the President’s stance on the Lagos governorship contest.
He pledged to support the party’s candidate and urged his supporters, particularly members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, to do the same. According to him, the movement remains committed to its broader goals of inclusion, fairness, and improved governance in Lagos.
