Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), also known as diesel.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that under the revised pricing, the refinery lowered the ex-depot price of petrol by ₦50, bringing it down from ₦1,215 to ₦1,165 per litre
Diesel also recorded a price cut of ₦80 per litre, with the ex-depot price dropping from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570.
The company disclosed the new prices in a statement issued on Wednesday, describing the move as part of its commitment to making refined petroleum products more affordable and accessible to Nigerians.
According to the refinery, the adjustment is expected to ease the cost of fuel for businesses and consumers while supporting economic activities across the country.
Dangote Refinery stated that the latest review reflects its determination to provide quality petroleum products at competitive prices and strengthen the domestic supply chain.
The company added that improved operational efficiency has enabled it to reduce costs and transfer the benefits to customers whenever market conditions allow.
It reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a stable supply of petroleum products to the Nigerian market while continuing to improve service delivery.
The refinery also noted that its operations are playing a key role in enhancing Nigeria’s energy security by reducing dependence on imported refined products.
