#FathersDay: Gov. Hope Uzodinma Adopts 9-Year-Old Singer
In celebration of fathers’ day, the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma announced his intentions to adopt and sponsor a 9-year-old boy who went viral after a video of him singing Catholic hymns was shared on social media.
The 9-year-old boy identified as Joseph Oluomachi who hawks coconut and pear on the street captured the heart of his customers by singing to them as he sells his goods.

He was filmed singing and the video went viral as Nigerians appreciated his talent.
In a series of tweets, Uzodinma announced this on Twitter, writing: “1/In celebration of #FathersDay, I directed that little 9 year old Master Joseph Oluomachi Opara, the viral Imo State-born singer be contacted as I announce my intentions to adopt him as my own child.
“2/I also undertake, personally, to sponsor him from primary school level (his current educational level) to Catholic priesthood (his career choice).”
