The corridor has reportedly been linked to various illegal activities in recent times, prompting authorities to take action to restore order and improve safety in the area.
The operation, which began in the early hours of the day, was led by the Chairman of the Task Force, Adetayo Akerele, as part of ongoing efforts to address security concerns across Lagos.
Enforcement activities also extended to nearby locations including Alfa Nla, Okekoto, and Pen Cinema in the Agege axis, where similar concerns had been raised.
During the exercise at Fagba, officials encountered resistance, which escalated into unrest as some individuals set fires within the corridor. The situation also posed a risk to nearby facilities, including Sunbeth Filling Station and a branch of Zenith Bank.
However, the situation was brought under control through the combined efforts of security operatives and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, which helped contain the fire and restore calm.

The Director of Public Affairs of the Task Force, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, stated that those arrested during the operation would be prosecuted in line with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017.
Speaking after the exercise, Akerele urged young people to avoid criminal activities and instead pursue lawful means of livelihood, emphasising that sustainable success comes from legitimate efforts.
