‘He Sent Me to Oxford,’ Timi Adebowale Pays Tribute to Brother
In a heartfelt service of songs held on Thursday, at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Timi Adebowale spoke movingly about his brother, Samuel Adebowale, highlighting his significant role in his academic journey.
Timi who shared that Samuel had been instrumental in sponsoring his studies at Oxford University, emphasized the deep bond between them.
My brother loved me dearly,” he said.
The event, attended by family, friends, and well-wishers, celebrated Samuel’s life and contributions.
Timi recounted how Samuel’s unwavering support and encouragement had not only facilitated his education but had also inspired him to strive for excellence.

According to him, his brother was not just wealthy but was able to use his wealth as a source of impact on people around him. “Family and non-family members,” he noted.
The service featured a series of poignant tributes and musical performances that resonated with those present.
Adebowale was remembered not just for his generosity but for his dedication to his family and community.
Pastor Samuel Adelaja Adebowale who lived from 18th November 1951 to 17th June 2024, finished from Ahmadu Bello University university with a BSc (Hons) in quantity surveying and commercial management.
He was said to have helped a lot of individuals academically, financially and even spiritually to find their path in life.
Before his death, he was an ordained minister of God, serving at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, popularly known as RCCG, Oyo Province 2, New Bodija, Ibadan.
Adelaja who died at 73, is married and blessed with children and grandchildren.
His legacy was honoured through the stories and memories shared during the service, reflecting a life marked by kindness and impact.
His burial funeral continues on Friday, August 16, when he will be finally laid to rest.
