Infertility affects several couples in our society. It can put undue pressure on marriages. You and I know that some marriages have broken up because of this one problem.
Sometimes the man goes out to test his potency to prove to the wife that he’s not impotent after all. Sometimes pressure comes from the in-laws, and they bring a new wife from the village who is more fertile to come and displace his wife.

This could be from birth or after he was born, and so he’s sterile. He can no longer impregnate a woman. A woman can be sterile when she can no longer conceive scientifically.
