Furthermore, Dr. Opeifa stated that he would work hard to ensure that NRC employees are treated well and that they receive the necessary training to do their jobs effectively.

He also promised to improve the working conditions and welfare of NRC staff.

The new Managing Director expressed his desire to make the NRC more efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the public.

He believes that with these efforts, the railway will contribute even more to the development of the Nigerian economy.

Dr. Opeifa’s speech showed his strong commitment to making the NRC a key player in Nigeria’s growth.

He promised to work with the Ministry of Transportation and other government bodies to improve rail services and make sure that Nigeria’s rail system becomes safer, more efficient, and better for all.

One of Opeifa’s main goals is to modernize the railway system and expand the rail network to cover more areas of the country.

He believes that a modern and efficient rail system will help grow the Nigerian economy, reduce poverty, and improve the movement of goods and people across the country.

Opeifa also plans to make the rail system more connected, linking major cities, ports, and economic hubs to one another, making travel easier for Nigerians.

Opeifa stressed that his plan includes improving customer service by making the railway system more reliable, comfortable, and affordable for passengers.

He also promised to prioritize the safety of passengers and staff by ensuring that the railway operations are secure.

He emphasized that the NRC will work to improve its services by completing ongoing projects and introducing new technologies to enhance efficiency.

In his address, Opeifa also emphasized the importance of collaboration with other government agencies, state governments, and the private sector.

He wants to encourage more private companies to invest in the railway system and help improve its operations.

He believes that with increased private sector involvement, the NRC can raise more funds, improve services, and build better rail infrastructure.

Dr. Opeifa also highlighted the need to focus on staff welfare. He stated that the NRC will invest in the training and development of its staff to ensure they have the skills needed to succeed.

He also emphasized the importance of creating job opportunities through the railway system and improving the skills of Nigerians in the rail industry.
