The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Mustapha Adekunle, popularly known as Sego, has endorsed Damilola Ayinde Marshal, daughter of Fuji star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1, for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the endorsement was made in a video shared on Damilola’s Snapchat page, where she was seen presenting branded campaign caps to the NURTW chairman during what appeared to be a political consultation meeting ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries.

In the video, Sego called on party members and supporters to rally behind her ambition to represent Surulere Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
“When it is time for the primary election, come out in large numbers and vote for Dami, Omo Anifowose. She is the one who can do it. The progress of Surulere is our collective responsibility,” he said.
The endorsement comes amid increasing support for Damilola’s political ambition following her recent declaration to contest the assembly seat under the APC platform.
The lawyer and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism had earlier announced her intention to run for office through a post on Instagram, where she promised to champion youth representation and development.
“I am ready to serve and lead. With my background and experience, I am prepared to fight for what truly matters and be the voice of the youths in the House,” she stated.
Damilola also described herself as part of a new generation of leaders committed to inclusive governance and community development.

She is expected to replace the current lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency II, Mosunmola Rotimi Sangodara, who currently occupies the seat under the APC.
