Messi In Tears As He Confirms End Of 21-Year Barcelona Career

Tears flowed from Lionel Messi’s eyes at his final press conference as a Barcelona player as he confirmed the end of his 21-year career at the Camp Nou.
“This is very difficult, I was not prepared for this. Last year I was convinced to leave, but this year we were, my family and I wanted to continue here, in our house,” the 34-year-old told reporters.
“Today I have to say goodbye, I arrived very young at 13 years old, and after 21 years I am leaving with my wife and three children.

“I have no doubts after being away for several years, we will return because I promised my children.”
Messi joined Barcelona in 2000 at the age of 13 and has gone on to score 683 times in 810 games for the club.
The six-time Ballon d’or winner has also won 34 trophies with Barca, including 10 La Liga titles and four Champions League’s.
He has since been linked with Ligue 1 side, PSG with a close associate of the club’s owner tweeting about concluding negotiations with him as of Friday.
