Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a phone conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as tensions intensify across the Middle East.
During the call, Eko Hot Blog gathered that Modi expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the United Arab Emirates following recent attacks and conveyed India’s support for the Gulf nation.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said he strongly condemned the strikes on the UAE and reaffirmed that India stands with the country during this challenging period.

He also thanked the UAE leadership for ensuring the safety and welfare of the large Indian community residing there, while emphasising the need for calm.
Modi reiterated India’s position in favour of de-escalation, regional peace, security and stability.
The outreach comes amid escalating hostilities involving Iran, the United States and Israel, with Iranian strikes reported in the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
New Delhi has urged all parties to avoid further confrontation and to resolve differences through dialogue and diplomacy.

On Saturday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke separately with his counterparts in Israel and Iran, repeating India’s call for restraint and diplomatic engagement.
He also contacted officials in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, countries affected by the recent attacks, highlighting the importance of safeguarding Indian nationals in the region.
Following the exchange of strikes, Jaishankar said India is closely monitoring developments and remains deeply concerned about the situation in Iran and the wider Gulf region.
He stressed that protecting civilians and preventing further escalation must remain a priority.
