Prominent politician Sola Osolana is reportedly poised to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the recent impeachment of former Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that arrangements have been made for Osolana’s return to the APC after his stint in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Osolana, who previously held a significant role within the APC, was compelled to defect to the PDP due to tensions arising from his close relationship with former state Assembly member Dr. Yinka Ogundimu
During the first term of Agege Local Government Chairman Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, Osolana initially served as the Supervisor for Works before being pressured to step down from his position as a leading chairmanship aspirant.

As the rift between the former Speaker and Ogundimu deepened, a series of strategic removals took place within Agege and Orile Agege Local Council Development Area, targeting those loyal to Ogundimu.
The first casualty was Sola Osolana, who was ousted from his position. Soon after, Honourable Kolawole Anigbajumo, the Leader of the Agege Legislative Council, was also removed in what appeared to be a calculated move.
The purge continued with the removal of Honourable Rasheed Osanyinpeju, also known as Aroko, who served as the Chairman of the Revenue Committee for Agege Local Government.
Osanyinpeju and Obasa shared a history, having both been councilors during the late Chief Enoch Kolapomoye Ajiboso’s chairmanship, with Osanyinpeju as the Leader of the Council’s Legislative Arm and Obasa as his deputy.
