Police Investigate Murder of 22-Year-Old Bride, Headless Teenager Found in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the discovery of a headless corpse of a teenager found along the roadside in Jikas-Dabaja village, Gwaram Local Government Area.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the command’s spokesperson, SP Lawan Shiisu, confirmed the development in a statement, revealing that the body was discovered around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

“On Wednesday at about 10:00 p.m., the Divisional Police Headquarters in Gwaram received a report about a corpse in Jikas-Dabaja village. A team of officers was dispatched to the scene, where they found a headless body with its private parts removed,” Shiisu stated.
The victim was later identified as a 14-year-old Almajiri who had been reported missing two days earlier.
According to Shiisu, the deceased was certified dead by a medical doctor before his remains were handed over to his relatives for burial. He assured that investigations are ongoing to track down those responsible for the gruesome act.
In a separate incident, the police are also probing the tragic death of a 22-year-old bride in Hadejia LGA.
Shiisu disclosed that the victim, identified as Zainab Ibrahim, was found with her throat slit—just five weeks after her wedding.

She was rushed to the General Hospital in Hadejia, where she was confirmed dead by medical personnel.
The police spokesperson reiterated that an investigation is underway and efforts are being intensified to bring the perpetrators to justice.
