Ekohotblog reports that the Parish Priest of Saint Theresa Catholic Church Epe, Rev. Father Gabriel Ugoje, has advised youths not to be enticed by the glamour portrayed on social media, warning the young populace of it’s damaging effects and lifetime consequences.
In an interview, the clergyman expressed concern over the negative influence of celebrities who flaunt their riches online, cautioning that the reality behind such lifestyles is often not as rosy as it seems.

Father Ugoje emphasized that many of these celebrities have endured tough challenges to attain their success, but no one shares or celebrates the difficult journeys they have had to navigate.
“People only celebrate success,” he said. “The rough roads that lead to those successes are never shown or discussed.”
He urged young people to shift their orientation and focus on building their lives with integrity and perseverance.
“Take whatever you are doing seriously,” he advised. “Success will surely come one day, as opposed to engaging in activities that cause pain and suffering to others for the sake of quick wealth.”
The parish priest further noted that many young individuals involved in illegal activities find themselves constantly on the run, living in fear of being caught for their misdeeds.
“These young boys, who engage in all sorts of atrocities, hardly find rest because they are always looking over their shoulders.”
Father Ugoje concluded by encouraging youths to engage in honest work, pray for guidance, and remain diligent in their pursuits.
“Why not engage in legitimate work, put in the necessary effort, and pray for things to fall in place, rather than resorting to dishonest means?” he remarked.
