2Baba noted that the genre is currently undergoing a vibrant transformation led by a new crop of musicians who bring “special flows” and fresh styles to the table.
He used a recent cover of his song If Love Is A Crime by the artist Fola as a prime example of the high-quality production and vocal prowess coming out of the industry today.
“If you listen to some of the young Afrobeats artists now, you will agree with me that the genre is in safe hands,” 2Baba remarked during the broadcast.
