Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer Mohbad, has maintained his firm stance that his son will not be buried until a DNA test is conducted to confirm the paternity of the singer’s son, Liam.
Eko Hot Blog reports that this follows a ruling from a Lagos State Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, presided over by Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga, which ordered the test to be carried out at three specific laboratories: DNA Diagnostics Centre, AlphaBiolabs, and Advanced Histopathology Laboratory Limited.

In a video shared on Sunday, March 22, 2026, Aloba alleged that influential figures are attempting to manipulate the process and expressed deep skepticism regarding the technical competence of the selected facilities.

Due to these frustrations and a perceived lack of transparency in the Lagos proceedings, he revealed plans to consult his legal team about potentially seeking a transfer of the case to Ekiti State.
He urged the Lagos State Government to support his demand for the test, describing it as a critical piece of evidence needed before the burial can proceed.
The paternity of the young child, born just months before Mohbad’s death in September 2023, remains a central point of contention in the ongoing legal and estate disputes.
