The All Progressives Congress (APC) has returned Isaac Kekemeke as its South-West Zonal Chairman following a consensus decision at the party’s zonal congress held in Lagos.
Kekemeke, along with seven other members of the zonal executive, was affirmed without opposition at the gathering which took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Eko Hot Blog gathered.

Chairman of the Zonal Congress Committee, Jide Jimoh, disclosed that a total of 1,398 delegates from the six South-West states, Lagos State, Oyo State, Ondo State, Osun State, Ekiti State, and Ogun State, were accredited for the exercise.

He explained that the consensus list was adopted through a voice vote before the officials were formally declared elected.
Those returned unopposed alongside Kekemeke include Alfred Aluko (Secretary), Ismail Majaro (Legal Adviser), Lateef Ibirogba (Organising Secretary), and Ayobami Afolabi (Publicity Secretary).
Others are Oyetunde Adesanya (Woman Leader), Daramola Adesuyi (Youth Leader), and Dayo Ishola (Persons with Disability Leader).
Jimoh described the congress as a significant milestone for the region and praised delegates for ensuring a smooth and successful process, urging the new leadership to strengthen the party’s structure.
Speaking on behalf of South-West governors, Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended the orderly conduct of the congress, noting that it sets a standard for similar exercises nationwide. He also appreciated party members for their loyalty and patience.

Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence in the newly elected executives, stating that they are well-positioned to lead the party to victory in future elections, including the 2027 polls.
In his response, Kekemeke thanked party leaders and stakeholders for the confidence reposed in the team, pledging to work towards electoral success in upcoming governorship elections in Ekiti State and Osun State.
The congress attracted several prominent APC figures, including governors Dapo Abiodun, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Abiodun Oyebanji, as well as other party leaders, lawmakers, and stakeholders from across the South-West.
