Amaechi secured 504,117 votes, while Hayatu-Deen polled 177,120 votes in the nationwide exercise.
The ADC disclosed that its total registered membership stands at 3,113,599, while total votes cast during the presidential primary were 2,527,977.
Earlier, both Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen had rejected the conduct and outcome of the primary election, alleging irregularities, lack of transparency and other violations during the process.
Despite the controversy surrounding the exercise, the declaration officially confirmed Atiku as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.
Momodu Speaks On Peter Obi’s Exit
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the ADC, Dele Momodu, has claimed that former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, quietly exited the ADC after realising he had little chance against Atiku in the party’s presidential primary.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, Momodu described Obi’s withdrawal and defection from the ADC as a strategic and respectful decision.
According to him, Obi understood Atiku’s political influence, nationwide structure and long-standing presence in Nigerian politics.
Momodu stated that Obi did not deceive himself about his chances against Atiku, whom he described as Obi’s former political ally.

The ADC presidential primary has continued to generate reactions within the opposition political space as parties intensify preparations ahead of the 2027 general election.
