EKO HOT BLOG reports that Amaechi made the clarification during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, where he also spoke on the outcome of the ADC presidential primary election.
The former Rivers State governor had earlier rejected the outcome of the primary, alleging that the results announced by the party were manipulated.
Reaffirming his position, Amaechi said he still stood by his description of the results as “concocted,” despite remaining a member of the ADC.
“I stand by what I said about ‘concocted results,’ but I am still a member of ADC,” he said.
Amaechi also denied reports suggesting that he had been approached to serve as Atiku’s running mate ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“I’m not joking, no one has ever asked me to be vice president because they know what my reaction would be,” Amaechi stated.
