The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO) has reaffirmed its commitment to the effective implementation of the Lagos Resilience Strategy following a mid-year review workshop aimed at assessing progress and strengthening resilience initiatives across the state.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the 2026 Mid-Year Review Workshop brought together representatives of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to evaluate achievements, identify implementation gaps and improve coordination in delivering the state’s resilience agenda.

Speaking at the workshop, the Chief Resilience Officer, Dr. Folayinka Dania, who was represented by the Deputy Director, Education, Mr. Oluwole Michael, said resilience planning is a continuous process that requires regular evaluation, objective assessment and strategic alignment across government institutions.
He stressed the importance of sustained collaboration among MDAs to ensure Lagos remains better prepared to prevent, respond to and recover from shocks and other emerging challenges.
The workshop featured presentations by LASRO technical officers, who highlighted the objectives of the Lagos Resilience Strategy and its role in building adaptive, responsive and sustainable public institutions.
Representatives of participating MDAs also presented updates on resilience-related projects and initiatives being implemented by their organisations, outlining key achievements, sharing implementation experiences and identifying areas requiring additional support and collaboration.
LASRO noted that achieving meaningful resilience outcomes depends on collective responsibility, consistent implementation and stronger coordination among stakeholders across the public service.
The office added that participants gained practical insights during the workshop that would enhance institutional efficiency and support the effective implementation of the Lagos Resilience Strategy.
