Airtel Nigeria, the country’s second-largest telecom operator, has updated its data pricing structure, resulting in a tariff adjustment of up to 50 per cent, as seen on its website on Monday.

These revisions affect various data bundles and follow recent increases to voice call tariffs implemented by the operator, which serves over 56 million subscribers.

“Yes, we have updated data prices today, and they are available on our website. However, the increase is not up to 50 percent,” the official clarified.

Airtel Nigeria Adjust Data and Voice Call Rates

In its revised price list, Airtel assured customers of continued affordability, stating, “Whatever your data needs are, we have a plan for you. Our fast, affordable, and reliable internet experience will keep you connected anytime, anywhere. To get started, Dial *312#.”

Airtel Nigeria’s revised daily and weekly data plans now include:

  • N50 for 40MB (1-day validity)
  • N100 for 100MB (1-day validity)
  • N200 for 200MB (3-day validity)
  • N350 for 1GB (1-day validity)
  • N350 for 350MB (7-day validity)
  • N500 for 750MB plus 1GB YouTube Night and 200MB YouTube
  • Music/Spotify (7-day validity)
  • N500 for 1GB plus 1GB YouTube
  • Night and 50MB Socials (7-day validity)
  • N500 for 2GB (2-day validity)
  • N1500 for 5GB (7-day validity)

MTN, Nigeria’s largest telecom operator, has also adjusted its data and call tariffs accordingly.

As telecom companies grapple with inflation, foreign exchange fluctuations, and rising network expansion expenses, these changes aim to support long-term improvements to service quality.
