The successful accreditation exercise marks another major achievement for the university in its ongoing commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and institutional development.
The accredited programmes, which were due for evaluation by the Commission, successfully met the required standards and benchmarks set by the NUC for university education in Nigeria.
Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Anthony Alaba Akinwale, expressed appreciation to members of staff, students, and stakeholders whose dedication and collective efforts contributed to the successful accreditation process.
“This achievement reflects the hard work, commitment, and shared vision of the entire Augustine University community. We are grateful to God and appreciative of everyone who contributed to this success,” he stated.

He further noted that the accreditation would strengthen public confidence in the university’s academic programmes and reinforce its mission of producing graduates grounded in sound knowledge, ethical values, and leadership excellence.
“The accreditation further confirms the quality and credibility of our academic offerings as we continue to nurture future leaders equipped with competence, integrity, and a passion for service,” the Vice-Chancellor added.
The development has been widely welcomed by stakeholders within and outside the university community, with many describing it as a positive boost to higher education within Epe Division and Lagos State at large.
Observers also noted that the accreditation of Nursing Science and other strategic programmes would further expand educational opportunities for students seeking quality tertiary education in the region.
