Court Dismisses Nnamdi Kanu’s N20bn Suit Against Malami
A Court has dismissed Nnamdi Kanu’s N20bn suit against the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ‘discontinued’ a N20 billion suit filed by the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, (SAN).
The development is contained in an update given on Thursday by Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Kanu and IPOB.

“UPDATE on #MNK (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) outstanding cases in which I’m directly involved:
“The UK case is awaiting decision.
“Fed. High Court case for Nov 18 is discontinued.
“The AU case is awaiting decision.
“UN Opinion has been escalated to other tribunals.
“The Kenyan case is set for Feb 2023 (sad),” Ejimakor wrote on his known Twitter handle.
Recall that the High Court had fixed Friday, November 18 for the hearing of the suit which also has the Director-General (DG) of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, as a defendant.
Kanu, through Ejimakor, had filed a writ of summons marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1702/222.
The application, dated and filed on September 23, listed Malami and Abubakar as 1st and 2nd defendants respectively.

Ejimakor challenged the manner of Kanu’s arrest in Kenya, and also called his continued incarceration a violation of human rights.
The reason for discontinuing the case was not stated by the lawyer.
