Dr. Alausa Pushes for Stronger Policies on Girl Child Education

As part of activities marking the 2025 Commonwealth Day, Dr has rolled out series of programmes aimed at boosting the quality education of the girl child
At the press conference for the 2025 Commonwealth Preparatory event, Minister of Education, Dr. Alausa, emphasized the importance of quality education for the girl child.

He noted that the gap between educated girls and boys has significantly reduced over the years.
Dr. Alausa also announced that the Ministry of Education will soon launch a new initiative focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medical services (STEM). This program aims to provide students with better learning opportunities in these fields.
Additionally, he highlighted the need for stronger vocational training, quality assurance in education, and effective implementation of policies to improve learning outcomes.

As part of the Commonwealth Games celebrations, 25 schools in Abuja will participate in a drama competition. A flag presentation ceremony will also be held to honor the Commonwealth.
