Epe Local Government Flags Off Akodu Street Construction Project
Ekohotblog reports that the Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun FHTI, has officially launched the construction of Akodu Street, off Adeyemi Apena Street, as part of her administration’s ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure and connectivity in the area.
Construction workers, along with heavy equipment, have already been mobilized to the site, with earthworks and drainage preparations underway.
This project is seen as a responsibility in improving the local road network and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

During the project launch, Hon. Princess Surah highlighted the importance of the development, stating, “The construction of Akodu Street is a major commitment to delivering better infrastructure for the people of Epe.
Once completed, this road will not only improve connectivity but also provide much-needed relief to residents and businesses.”
She also assured the community that the road would be completed within eight months, emphasizing the importance of cooperation from residents.
“We appreciate your continued support and patience. I encourage everyone to cooperate with the construction workers to ensure that this project is completed on schedule,” she added.
Residents of the area expressed their excitement about the development, with one resident stating “We’ve waited a long time for this.
