“I Wasn’t Ready to Be a Husband” – TeeBillz Speaks on Divorce from Tiwa Savage

Nigerian record label executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TeeBillz, has opened up about the reasons behind his failed marriage to singer Tiwa Savage, admitting that unpreparedness played a key role.
EKO HOT BLOG recalls that TeeBillz, who married Tiwa in 2013 before their divorce in 2018, spoke about his past relationship in a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze.
The conversation, which also touched on 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s separation, saw TeeBillz reflect on the struggles of marriage in the entertainment industry.

He acknowledged that he was not ready for marriage at the time, stating, “I had no reason to get married because I wasn’t ready to be a husband, and I didn’t know what being a husband meant.”
The talent manager also stressed the importance of co-parenting, emphasizing that divorced parents must maintain a healthy relationship for their children’s sake.
Despite the challenges, TeeBillz noted that he and Tiwa continue to co-parent and maintain respect for each other.
