Emefiele has refused to appear before reps over cash withdrawal limits.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, on Tuesday failed to honour the invitation by members of the House of Representatives to explain the proposed cash withdrawal limit policy.
This will be the second time the CBN chief did not turn up at the green chamber of the National Assembly.

Recall that the House had summoned Emefiele to explain the proposed cash withdrawal limit policy, which is expected to kickstart on the 9th of January, 2023.
The House was to grill Emefiele over the policy last Thursday, but Emefiele failed to appear before them.
The Deputy Governor, Corporate Services, CBN, Edward Adamu, in a communication to the House, told the lawmakers that Emefiele was part of the entourage of President Muhammadu Buhari on an official trip to the United States.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Ahmed Wase, who read out the letter to members at the opening of plenary on Thursday, said the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, had rescheduled Emefiele’s appearance to Tuesday.
However, the CBN wrote the lawmakers again to say Emefiele was still on official assignment.
