Bala Mohammed has approved the redeployment of cabinet members following the resignation of several top officials in the state government.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, after the Chief of Staff, Hassan Gamawa, and six commissioners stepped down from their positions to pursue political ambitions.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that to address the resulting vacancies, the governor directed members of the State Executive Council to oversee the affected ministries in an acting capacity pending the appointment of new officials.
Under the new arrangement, the Principal Private Secretary, Hashimu Yakubu, will assume responsibilities in the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Mohammed Lawal R Zayam has been redeployed to supervise the Ministry of Power, Science and Technology, while the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hassan Usman El Yakub, will oversee the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Usman Usman Shehu, has been assigned to supervise the Ministry of Water Resources.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Danlami Ahmed Kawule, will oversee the Ministry of Rural Development and Special Duties, while the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Amina Muhammad Katagum, will supervise the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development will now be overseen by the Commissioner for Cooperatives and SMEs, Mohammed Sadiq Shira.
In addition, the Chief Security Adviser to the governor, Sani Mohammed, has been directed to supervise the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.
Governor Mohammed wished the outgoing officials success in their future pursuits and urged those assuming new responsibilities to carry out their duties diligently. He also directed them to work closely with permanent secretaries to ensure continuity in governance and smooth operations across ministries and agencies.
