Female Tenant Arrested for Attacking Landlord with Pestle in Enugu

- A female tenant attacked her landlord with a pestle in Enugu.

A woman and her two children have been taken into police custody after she allegedly struck her landlord on the head with a pestle in Umugbabe Ovoko, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The shocking incident was revealed by Enugu-based media personality Chijinkem Ugwuanyi in a Facebook post on Friday, January 31, 2025.

According to Ugwuanyi, the altercation began when the landlord, a young orphan, asked the woman to vacate his property.
“His tenant scattered his head with a pestle because he asked her to pack out of the house,” Ugwuanyi wrote.
He further disclosed that the landlord, who had allowed the woman to stay in his home because he was alone in the large house, suffered serious injuries from the attack.
The suspect and her two children have been detained at the Ibagwa Aka police station as investigations continue.
The extent of the landlord’s injuries and his current condition remain unclear.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter, but the case has sparked public outrage.
