The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Olanrewaju Alogba, has sworn in 126 newly appointed Notaries Public, with 11 of them participating virtually.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the oath-taking ceremony was held at the Osborne High Court Complex, Ikoyi, Lagos, where Justice Alogba charged the new Notaries to uphold the highest standards of integrity, responsibility and ethical conduct in the discharge of their duties.

He emphasised the critical role of Notaries Public in the administration of justice, noting that their endorsements carry the authority and credibility of the judiciary.
“Your signatures hold significant weight, and they are representative of the Judiciary,” the Chief Judge said.

Justice Alogba cautioned the appointees to ensure that all documents presented for notarisation are legal, genuine and properly verified before endorsement. He stressed that accuracy and authenticity are crucial, as notarised documents often have far-reaching national and international implications.
Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in Notaries Public, Mrs Opeyokun Gloria Adejoke, Esq, pledged that they would discharge their duties diligently and ethically. She assured the Chief Judge that they would avoid any conduct capable of bringing embarrassment to the Lagos State Judiciary.
