Lagos Taskforce Raids Criminal Hideouts, Arrests 30 Suspects

- 30 suspects arrested in Lagos raids targeting criminal hideouts.
- 20 hoodlums apprehended in Agboyi-Ketu, Alapere, and Oshodi.

The Lagos State Taskforce has intensified its crackdown on criminal hideouts, leading to the arrest of at least 30 suspects in recent operations.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that on Friday, a strategic raid led by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Adetayo Akerele resulted in the apprehension of 20 suspected hoodlums in Agboyi-Ketu and Alapere.

The operation targeted known crime hotspots, including Mile-12 Under-Bridge, Ketu Bus Stop, and Alapere. Akerele stated that the suspects, believed to be involved in unlawful activities, will be swiftly charged to court in response to public calls for action against crime.
In a separate operation, a special transport union taskforce in Oshodi arrested 10 suspected miscreants accused of robbing passengers around Oshodi-Oke. Among them was a recently released prisoner.
The arrests took place at their hideouts atop the Oshodi pedestrian bridge, with the suspects handed over to the Lagos taskforce for prosecution.

The taskforce, working alongside KAI Marshal Major Olaniyi Cole and the National Union of Road Transport Workers, also uncovered a shop used as a criminal hideout, leading to the arrest of over 12 suspects.
