Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the Paulinus Olusegun Carrena Popo Aguda Community Centre, a three storey facility located on Bamgbose Street, Lagos Island.

Speaking at the event, Sanwo Olu expressed satisfaction with the completion of the project and urged residents to foster unity and selflessness within the community. He also appreciated dignitaries and stakeholders who contributed to the successful delivery of the project.
The First Lady, Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, dedicated the facility to residents, describing it as a give back initiative aimed at improving community life. She commended the governor for his support in bringing the project to fruition.
Also speaking, Oluyinka Olumide, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, described the commissioning as a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to promote grassroots development. He added that the facility is equipped with necessary infrastructure, including parking space and open areas for community use.

The General Manager of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permits Authority, Kehinde Osinaike, presented the planning permit approval to the First Lady, commending adherence to regulatory processes.
In his remarks, community representative, Razak Abiodun, expressed appreciation to the state government, assuring that the facility would be properly maintained and utilised for the benefit of residents.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including Lawal Pedro, alongside political and community leaders.
The commissioning featured cultural performances, reflecting the heritage and vibrancy of the community.
The Lagos State Government reiterated its commitment to improving the welfare of residents through infrastructure and community focused initiatives.
