NRC Announces Upcoming Container Movement from Apapa Port to Kaduna

- The NRC Managing Director stated that the corporation is willing to collaborate with major companies involved in the movement of large containers across the country.
- He mentioned a recent partnership between NRC and APMT for transporting containers from Apapa to the Inland Dry Port in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced that it would soon commence the movement of containers from Apapa port to Inland Containers Nigeria Limited in Kaduna.
Eko Hot Blog reports that this development was disclosed by the NRC Managing Director during a meeting with the management team of ICNL, led by Mr. Omotayo Dada, at the NRC headquarters in Ebute Metta, Lagos.

The NRC Managing Director stated that the corporation is willing to collaborate with major companies involved in the movement of large containers across the country.
He mentioned a recent partnership between NRC and APMT for transporting containers from Apapa to the Inland Dry Port in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Emphasizing the corporation’s commitment to designing products tailored to meet the needs of cargo-moving companies, the MD announced that the NRC aims to move an additional 50 to 100 containers per day from Lagos to Kano via Apapa, Ijoko, Ilorin, Minna, and Kaduna through the ICNL partnership.

NRC’s Director of Operations and Commercial, Mr. Akin Osinowo, revealed ongoing negotiations with several manufacturers, including the Dangote Group of Companies and BUA.
He also mentioned that the NRC continues to service Lafarge, transporting cement shipments from Ewekoro to Osogbo and Ilorin.
