Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has clarified the rumors surrounding a controversial post about his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.
In a video shared on his Instagram story on Sunday night, 2Baba confirmed that the earlier post announcing the end of his 13-year marriage was indeed made by him.

This revelation came after a follow-up post claimed his account had been hacked.
The initial post read, “Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long…I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce. I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. Stay blessed my people. I love you all.”
Shortly after the post went viral, another message appeared on his account, alleging that his Instagram had been hacked and that efforts were being made to regain control of it.
However, in a surprising twist, 2Baba later released a video stating that his account had not been hacked, contrary to the follow-up claim. He implied that the original post about his separation was genuine, leaving fans stunned.
This marks a turning point in 2Baba’s personal life as the announcement of his separation from Annie, a union celebrated by fans for over a decade, has drawn widespread attention.
