EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Animashaun, has joined a retinue of well-meaning Nigerians, to celebrate the former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, at the party’s just concluded National Convention.

This online media platform reports that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the prestigious Eagle Square, Abuja, polled 1, 271 votes to defeat his closest rivals, former Minister for Transport, Rt. Hon Chibuike Amaechi and Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo had 316 and 235 votes respectively.

In a statement made available to EKO HOT BLOG, Princess Surah said that the victory, which was hinged on a free, transparent and credible election, would foster true reconciliation amongst the contestants for the party to attain success in the 2023 general elections.

According to her, it’s admirable for every member of the ruling party who has displayed an exceptional level of loyalty and unflinching support to align with the winner of the election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, stressing that such commitment and dedication were the most honourable traits to exhibit.

She further noted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was more than deserving of the victory at the shadow polls, stressing the phenomenal sacrifices that he has invested in terms of enviable human and material resources for the progress of the nation both presently and in the past decades paid off.

She, therefore, pledged the support of the entire Epe Local Government towards the actualisation of his presidential ambition.

“There’s a popular quote that says the greatest geniuses of the world are inspired and driven by their desire to enrich the lives of others.

“You have spent your life developing and supporting people and the nation as a whole and there is no leader more deserving of this victory.

“I congratulate every single member of the various tiers of our great party, The APC, who worked tirelessly to achieve this great feat. It is indeed an honour to pitch our tent with the great Jagaban.

“The people have spoken and the transparency of this election should be veritable grounds for reconciliation as a party as we prepare for the journey ahead.
