Lagos Fixes Date To Launch Diaspora Health Plan
Lagos State has fixed a date to launch its diaspora health plan.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) is set to launch a new product into the international market, tagged: “The Ilera Eko Diaspora Health Plan.”

A statement issued by the General Manager of LASHMA, Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, said the new health insurance package provides a window of opportunity to Nigerians living abroad and desirous of providing health insurance coverage for their loved ones who reside in Lagos State.
Zamba noted that the plan, which is part of the Lagos State Health Scheme (LSHS), a mandatory health insurance programme established by Law, is tailored for individuals and families.
“The plan is geared towards ensuring affordable and quality healthcare services through health financing and management system that enables pooling of resources and medical expertise, as well as guarantee delivery and receipt of qualitative healthcare service delivery in making sure no one is left behind,” she said.
